The staff at Round Valley Indian Housing Authority are here Monday-Fridays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The RVIHA currently has in operation the Low and Senior-Rentals, Annual Housing Assistance, Emergency Housing Assistance, Housing Rehabilitation and Home Buyers Assistance Programs.   • Low-Rent Program accepts applications for units within the Piner Sub-division throughout the year and is currently adding to the waiting list.
  • Annual Housing Assistance Program provides (1) eligible tribal member with a home annually.
  • Emergency Housing Assistance Program offers eligible tribal members assistance in times of dire circumstances (once in lifetime emergency assistance).
  • Housing Rehabilitation provides for home rehabilitation or replacement.
  • Home Buyers Assistance is available to eligible tribal members who have an affordability gap between the cost of the home and a conventional loan.

The Maintenance Deptepartment is responsible for maintaining the rental units within the Piner Sub-division this can include anything from:

  • fixing broken pipes
  • laying linoleum
  • complete turnover of a unit

And at times have gone above and beyond their regular duties.

Round Valley Indian Housing Building Horizons Program

Building Horizons

The Building Horizons Program is a community based after-school crime prevention and safety program targeting the youth and families of the Round Valley Indian Housing Authority. The Building Horizons goals are to provide quality prevention programs focusing on education in the areas of drug, alcohol, tobacco and crime intervention through the use of age appropriate curriculum regarding crime and drug prevention education as well as incorporating social and recreational activities to unite our youth.

Construction Dept/Force Account Crew

Phase I of the Tribal Winds Development began with the infrastructure of the 44 acre parcel. It continued with the development of eight 3 bedroom low rental homes. Phase II consisted of the building of eight 4 bedroom low-rental units with the possibility of homeownership. Phase III includes an additional 5, 4 and a 3 bedroom home. Future development will include three four-plex units (townhouses) and a recreational facility.
